Ann's take on Robin

Listening to you speak and interact with us anxious student teachers, I gathered that a central theme in your life story revolves around "The Journey." You are a journeyman -- or, I should say, a journeywoman. Although, something tells me you don't get caught up in titles. For you, it's not about the words and names. It's about the actions and experiences. At the risk of being cheesy about the kayaking metaphor, I believe your life has been and will appropriately continue to be, not a quiet, steady stream, but a dynamic and gushing flow of consecutive and overlapping learning adventures. You love and expect daily growth from yourself and those around you.

One thing you may not gather from seeing me in class is that I am a sports fanatic. I am voracious about watching sports and will resort to taking in motorcross if that's all that is on ESPN during my free time. Consequently, I have an avidity for using sports analogies in referring to my life challenges and in motivating myself. When I can think of a struggle as an adventure in which success can be achieved through grit, strength and a go-get-'em attitude, I will get on board with it much faster and more enthusiastically.
